A destination that you can’t do without if you spend more than 24 hours in Beach Haven, NJ. This place is an institution where tourists and locals find their fix for cheap diner food. Their branding is fabulous (although their website needs help with SEO), their price hyper competitive ($1.99 breakfast) and their food… well…

My sandwich was so greasy that I could feel oil dripping down my fingers. I came to wonder if they fried the bagel as well as the eggs! The result is poor on the taste scale and feels like chewing on a rubber band. Not so good!

Ranging between $2.00 and $6.00 the quality of the B.E.C varies a lot, and the most expensive does not necessarily means the tastiest. A cute coffee-shop (with a terrible website) that opened recently in my neighborhood. Great concept: everything there is coffee! For all the java-addicted, you’ll find your fix no matter what.

The B.E.C? Not that good. Heavy thick bagel, dried out eggs, orange cheddar. You’ll need a lot of coffee to get that down, which, I assume, might be part of their sale strategy!
